Ed Welburn is an automobile designer and former Vice President of Global Design at General Motors, and the first to lead all of the company’s Global Design Centers. He was responsible for the Camaro redesign and the latest Corvette model. Car and Driver magazine has called him “the man who brought beauty back to GM.” He retired after an illustrious 44-year career at General Motors on July 1, 2016. He joined I-Pulse in November 2016 as its Chief Design Advisor, to help direct initiatives with its automotive partners. Mr. Welburn received a Bachelor’s degree in 1972 from the College of Fine Arts at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he studied sculpture and product design.
