Dr. Mahadevan Krishnan is Head of Technology and Innovation of I-ROX. Krishnan is a plasma physicist with extensive pulsed power experience, having contributed to the building and operation of a multi-terawatt (trillion watt) flash x-ray and other generators for the United States Defense Department and Department of Energy. Krishnan obtained his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1976 and was an Associate Professor of Applied Physics and Mechanical Engineering at Yale University from 1976-1985. He founded Alameda Applied Sciences Corporation in 1994 and has developed Electric Propulsion for Small Satellites and other technologies under NASA sponsorship. The development team he leads at IROX brings together pulsed-power engineers, mineralogists, and theoretical experts whose collective goal is to demonstrate and commercialize the promise of pulsed power to the comminution of rocks and ore in mining operations worldwide.
