i-cube research
I-Cube, our in-house R&D facility, is constantly at work to deliver new, cost-effective commercial applications for high pulsed power across industries. The 6,000m2 facility houses world class scientists, researchers and engineers from all of I-Pulse’s business lines, allowing them to share knowledge and solutions.
At I-Cube, we have developed and refined applications for pulsed power that are already on the market and in use by our customers. We are continuously focused on perfecting and commercializing a large pipeline of new applications to create even more green and economical solutions across key industries.
The I-Cube facility in Toulouse serves as a place where I-Pulse we can demonstrate our breakthrough technologies and their applications to potential customers, investors and commercial partners. It also houses a complete production line for one of our metals forming technologies and a virtual reality room where we can examine our processes and refine them to suit our customers’ needs.
I-ROX
I-ROX is developing a transformative solution for comminution in mining that can cut energy consumption significantly and reduce the carbon footprint of mines worldwide
I-Pulse’s I-ROX business is enabling the energy transition by radically transforming mineral processing through science and innovation. In January 2025, I-ROX opened its own separate facility in Toulouse to drive its pulsed-power rock crushing solutions towards full commercialization.
The new facility is specially designed to meet I-ROX’s unique requirements, with 2,500 m² of shop floor to run larger-scale experiments and demonstrations. Separate zones are focused on comminution experiments, development and fine tuning of high-pulsed power generators, demonstration assembly and more. There are laboratories for the preparation and analysis of ore samples and the development and testing of electronic boards. It also houses 800 m² offices to support the 30 people on site.
